Story:One of the biggest arguments for gay marriage - and in this writer's opinion it's the only one that counts - is that all consenting adults should have the basic freedom to choose who they want to marry. It just seems like common sense.

Let me start off by thanking the community of 撸奶社区for giving me the honour of representing them at City Hall over the next three years.

I just came back from an informative day at my annual master gardener's update, and was both impressed and horrified at presenter Gail Wallin's talk about invasive plants in B.C. Gail is the Executive Director of the Invasive Plant Council of B.C.

I would also like to express my, and some of our other dog-walking friends concerns ["Town is going to the dogs," The Chief, March 6].

I have a homemade bear lock on my garbage can ["Homemade bear lock discouraged," The Chief, March 6]. Rather than being certified by council, it has been certified by the actual end user - the bears.

Oh Dear. In a recent Vancouver Sun article, a survey of 1,502 Canadians showed that only 53 per cent were able to name a Canadian author without prompting.

I believe that governments at all levels should take any opportunity to set standards of excellence and, by example, teach good practices to the citizens they represent; hence, I have always been quick to point out instances of the complete opposite.

So, have you recovered yet from the switch to daylight saving's time? Or are you still having trouble getting yourself out of bed in the morning? Although the adjustment is slight and easily made, what you've been through is called Situational Circad

The Wild at Art Festival continues tomorrow (March 14) at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park. There is live music in the Gallery with Karen Fowlie on stage at noon, followed by the Jocelyn Band at 12:45 p.m. Brian Robertson entertains at 1:30 p.m.
