Environment Canada has updated its rainfall warning for Metro Vancouver following catastrophic flooding.
An atmospheric river pummelled the south B.C. coast with upwards of 150 mm of rain on Saturday, Oct. 19, leaving many voters drenched on their way to local polling stations.
The national weather forecaster is calling for more heavy rainfall again on Sunday, although it is expected to wane slightly through Saturday night.
On Sunday, a second pulse of rain could bring 20 to 40 mm of precipitation to the Lower Mainland, with 40 to 60 mm possible over the North Shore Mountains.

Localized flooding is possible again on Sunday, and water pooling on roads increases the risk of hydroplaning. Drivers should brace for reduced visibility with heavy rain and strong winds. Turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
