These are the crimes from Dec. 27 to Jan. 2, 2022, that The 撸奶社区RCMP released to the media.

Impaired driving

撸奶社区Sea to Sky BC Highway Patrol officers issued 17 prohibitions to drivers between Dec. 27 and Jan. 2.

These were 90-day or three-day driving prohibitions for intoxication while behind the wheel.

All were drivers from Squamish.

Police issued seven of these driving prohibitions on New Year's Eve.
 

Smash and run

A business in the 1400-block of Winnipeg Street had its window smashed on New Year’s Day. No one gained access, and nothing was stolen. No suspect was identified.

New Year's Eve calls for service

On the last day of 2022, officers fielded 10 calls ranging from driving, possible assault, assisting Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance, assistance with an unwanted guest, and false alarms.

Police say overall, those celebrating on Dec. 31 were respectful of one another, local bylaws, and other provincial and federal laws.

A note on drone flying

Police received a report of a drone flying in the 1000-block of Finch Drive on Dec. 30. The drone operator did not break any laws in this instance, but police warned the operator about the hazard of flying drones in populated areas.
