Here are the crime briefs the ߣÄÌÉçÇøRCMP released to the media for the week Dec. 20 to 26.
Crashes
Police responded to 11 vehicle crashes on one shift amidst a snow, rain and cold-weather snap on Dec. 24.
During the same timeframe, officers also received three reports of road rage and drivers passing when unsafe.
Fraud
A representative from a local business reported a nearly-$75,000 fraud onDec. 21.
A bank contacted the business to inform them of the fraud, and all three — the business, the bank, and the police — continue investigating or assisting with the investigation.
B&E and theft
Three bikes were stolen after three suspects broke a window at a bike store in the 40100 block of Glenalder Place.
Police say the incident occurred on Dec. 26 between 11 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
RCMP say they have various avenues of investigation left with this matter and continue following up.
ߣÄÌÉçÇøwinter tire check
BC Highway Patrol ߣÄÌÉçÇødid a winter tire check, stopping 312 cars in 1.5 hours on Dec. 23. All vehicles had winter tires.
