While you won't be able to visit the summit on the Sea to Sky Gondola to celebrate the holidays this year, fear not because the festivities will be coming to you.

Thanks to a host of virtual and scaled back in-person activities, the 撸奶社区area will be alive with the sights and sounds of Christmas.

"We know many families traditionally visit the gondola at Christmas to enjoy the festivities and connect with Santa," says Haley Hardy, Sea to Sky Gondola's marketing coordinator, "This year presents a bit of a challenge, but we are reimagining our celebration and offering our Spirit of Christmas event series in a new and safe way.”

"We've partnered with a local Sea to Sky Corridor business From the Garden Shed to create a series of botanical themed craft kits combine with a step by step video tutorial," Hardy says. "This will be a great activity to add a festive touch to your home or split up the set and create meaningful gifts to share with your loved ones."

Among the kits available will be a set of six botanical glass ornaments and an advent calendar featuring daily act of kindness.

For younger ones, there will be downloadable colouring sheets that feature Santa as well as many of our favourite winter activities.

"One of the events we are most excited to share is virtual Bedtime Stories with Santa," Hardy adds. "Every Thursday through the month of December we will share a new video with Santa reading a few of his favourite holiday stories."

On the Thursday of Christmas Eve, there will be a special reading of A Night Before Christmas.

On Fridays, Mr. and Mrs. Claus will head out into 撸奶社区area neighbourhoods. Be on the lookout for the Sea to Sky Gondola float and experience first-hand how Santa spreads Christmas magic throughout Squamish

While the popular pancake breakfast event at the summit is also on hold this year, Hardy says there is still a way to celebrate by purchasing (by donation) a Saturday Morning Pancake Kit. The Sea to Sky Gondola team has partnered with Sea to Sky Community Services to bring this interactive style of cooking right to your door.

Each kit comes with all the dry ingredients. And as with the craft activity, an online will take you through a tutorial to make your pancakes.

Proceeds go towards Sea to Sky Community Services.

While the summit is not accessible, the gift shop and Basecamp Cafe will be open daily from 9am to 4pm until December 21.

Shop local this holiday season. On Sundays, there will be customer appreciation discount sales at the Gift Shop for guests and pass holders.

Shoppers can enjoy 30 per cent off everything in the store, with Sea to Sky Gondola passholders receiving a 40 per cent discount.
