For the first time in 10 years, the world famous Royal Hudson will pull passengers on the rails between North Vancouver and Squamish. Local residents should listen for the familiar whistle as she steams into 撸奶社区around 10:15 a.m. on May 12.

The occasion is a spectacular inaugural run of this year's Whistler Mountaineer train, which the Royal Hudson will pull on Tuesday, May 12 for the first segment of its trip, from North Vancouver to Squamish.

The West Coast Railway Association will also have its coaches attached to this train, and is able to offer the Royal Hudson Classic trip, riding the rails along Howe Sound to Squamish.

Passengers on these coaches will then visit the West Coast Railway Heritage Park for lunch and return to North Vancouver by motorcoach.

The last time the Royal Hudson carried passengers along this route was October 2, 1999.

The Royal Hudson now makes its permanent home at the Heritage Park in Squamish. The West Coast Railway Association completed the restoration of this classic icon of British Columbia tourism, and is excited that it is able to get out for this trip in 2009.
