Enbridge Inc. (TSX:ENB). Energy. Up five cents, or 0.1 per cent, to $51.35 on 11.1 million shares. 

Bank of Nova Scotia (TSX:BNS). Financials. Down $1.65, or 2.48 per cent, to $64.89 on 5.9 million shares. 

Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Energy. Up 74 cents, or 1.73 per cent, to $43.50 on five million shares. 

Athabasca Oil Corp. (TSX:ATH). Energy. Up 10 cents, or 4.37 per cent, to $2.39 on five million shares. 

Toronto-Dominion Bank (TSX:TD). Financials. Down 97 cents, or 1.12 per cent, to $85.71 on 4.8 million shares. 

TC Energy Corp. (TSX:TRP). Energy. Up six cents, or 0.1 per cent, to $58.45 on 4.8 million shares. 

Companies in the news: 

Rogers Communications Inc. (TSX:RCI.B). Up 22 cents, or 0.42 per cent, to $52.87; and Shaw Communications Inc. (TSX:SJR.B). Down 24 cents, or 0.71 per cent, to $33.75. The competition commissioner is accusing Rogers Communications Inc. and Shaw Communications Inc. of conducting a "fishing expedition" with the serving of subpoenas to Telus Corp. demanding documents ahead of November hearings on the two companies' proposed $26-billion merger. In a filing made public late Tuesday by the Competition Tribunal, the commissioner says the request is an "abuse of process" and is "overbroad and unduly burdensome." 

Suncor Energy Inc. — Suncor Energy Inc. says Martha Hall Findlay will retire from her role as the company's first chief climate officer at the end of November. Hall Findlay joined Suncor in 2020 as the company's chief sustainability officer. Her appointment as chief climate officer in February of this year was the first of its kind in Canada's energy sector.
