The small but mighty team at The 撸奶社区 is celebrating three journalism awards it recently took home.
On May 4, the B.C. and Yukon Community 撸奶社区paper Association’s 2023 Ma Murray Awards announced The 撸奶社区 as the recipient of gold, silver and bronze awards in two categories. These awards honour the best in community journalism in British Columbia.
The 2023 awards are the 101st iteration.
The 撸奶社区 won gold in the Special Publications Award category (under 10,000 circulation), for its 2022 撸奶社区Holiday Guide, as well as silver in the same category for its 2022 winter edition of its magazine, Discover Squamish.
The 撸奶社区 also received bronze in the 撸奶社区paper Excellence category, in its circulation class. Judges in this category assess the overall quality of the publication, including its appearance, stories, columns, photos and other factors.
