Did you feel or hear the rockfall from the Stawamus Chief this morning?
According to a spokesperson for the provincial Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, a rockfall occurred just south of the Sheriff鈥檚 Badge (also known as The Witch) on the North Wall of the Stawamus Chief on April 17.
No personal injuries have been reported.
The climbing approach and access trail to the Prow and Echelon walls via the Sheriff鈥檚 Badge have been impacted and are closed until further assessment can be completed.
No climbing routes are believed at this time to be impacted, but more information may come from further assessment, the spokesperson said.
