The 撸奶社区RCMP handled 138 calls for the week of March 14 to 20.

Here are the weekly media briefs released to The 撸奶社区 by the RCMP for the week of March 14 to 20.

Catalytic converter thefts

Between March 16 and 18, the RCMP have received two reports of catalytic converter thefts in Squamish.

At the time, the vehicles were parked on Mamquam Road as well as University Boulevard.

Police are encouraging people to make sure they are using car alarms, parking near residential lighting and reporting any suspicious activity.

Auto theft

Just after midnight on March 18, a car was stolen off of Discover Way.

The car is a black Honda Civic with B.C. licence plate NK5 50H and police say the public can keep a lookout for the vehicle. So far, the police investigation has yielded no results but the file will be reopened if new information from the public comes to light.

Fraud

In the late hours of March 18 to early hours of March 19, suspects entered a parked car on Tantalus Road and stole a wallet and jewelry worth up to about $700.

Additionally, the suspected thieves also made fraudulent transactions on the cards before the owner was able to cancel them.

Break and enter

In the late night of March 18 and early hours of March 19, suspected thieves broke into several staff lockers at a hotel on Tantalus Road. Police are following up on this file and encouraging those who may have had items stolen to contact the local RCMP.
