The GranFondo Whistler and Brackendale Fall Fair will be coming back to 撸奶社区on Sept. 9
The fall fair returns to the Brackendale Farmers Institute Park between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The annual event has fun for the whole family including farm animals, hay rides, music, food and exhibits.
The website says the event will have “over 80 vendors with locally grown produce and foods, locally made artisan goods and locally peopled organizations.”
This marks the fair’s return after three years. It was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic and in 2022 due to a lack of volunteers.
Opportunities are still available to volunteer, which can be found on .
The fair also overlaps with the GranFondo Whistler, which will impact traffic on the Sea to Sky Highway.
“During the event, approximately 6,000 cyclists will take the challenging ride from Vancouver to Whistler in a single dedicated lane on Highway 99,” reads a news release in the lead-up to the event.
Traffic impacts from the race will hit 撸奶社区from about early morning to shortly past noon. Between Valley Drive and Depot Road, highway users on the east side can expect the following impacts:
- 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. intermittent delays
- 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. full closure with the exception of Dowad Drive and Clarke Drive for hospital access
- 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. intermittent delays
Additionally, access to Loggers Lane for areas like the Smoke Bluffs, 撸奶社区Adventure Centre or Brennan Park Recreation Centre are advised to use the underpass at Centennial Way as access to Loggers Lane from downtown will be restricted until 12:30 p.m.
Other traffic impacts will occur south of 撸奶社区as well as heading north towards Whistler through 4:30 p.m. Read more about the impacts at .
