The District of 撸奶社区has chosen a group of volunteers who will help advise the municipality on economic development.

On Aug. 20, the District announced it had formed an economic partner forum.

This group is comprised of representatives from 11 organizations, including public and private sectors, and not-for-profit organizations:

Capilano University

Futurpreneur BC

Provincial Government of B.C.

Quest University

Spring Activator

撸奶社区Chamber of Commerce

撸奶社区Downtown Business Improvement Association

撸奶社区Nation

Tourism Squamish

UBC Faculty of Applied Science

WorkBC Sea to Sky

聽鈥淭he combined knowledge and expertise of these partners is critical to our success in achieving our economic development goals. Building a vibrant local economy with a diversity of local job opportunities will require collaboration and each of these partners playing to their strengths and contributing their insights and talent. Building back from the pandemic and achieving our long term goals means that we need these voices at the table to deepen our understanding of the current business climate and develop plans to address the opportunities and challenges," said Mayor Karen Elliott in a news release.

"I have no doubt our community will benefit greatly from the collective insights of this team as we continue to navigate the best way forward."

The group will be joined by the District鈥檚 economic development officer, Kate Mulligan, and up to two additional District of 撸奶社区staff.

Either Elliott or a councillor will be on the board to represent elected government.
