The District of 撸奶社区announced a new fire chief for 撸奶社区Fire Rescue.
Longtime local firefighter Aaron Foote took over command on Aug. 17.
Most recently serving as the deputy fire chief since 2016, Foote replaces Bill Stoner at the helm. Stoner has moved into the role of general manager for community services with the District.
“I am excited to take on this role in the department and ensure that we continue to provide exceptional service to our growing community,” said Foote in a news release.
Foote joined 撸奶社区Fire Rescue in 1990 as a volunteer firefighter and moved into a permanent position in 2012. The release notes that he had a hand in designing the two new fire halls and improvements to the department’s fleet and communication systems.
“Over the years, he has proven to be an exemplary leader with a strong dedication to both the fire service and the community. We are so fortunate to have someone with as extensive experience as Aaron on our team,” said Megan Latimer, the general manager of Public Safety.
The District thanked Stoner for his service to the department.
The recruiting for paid, on-call firefighters with a Sept. 15 application deadline.
