The Eagle Eye Theatre is the place tonight (Feb. 13) at 7:30 p.m. for the performance by Al Simmons, who is described as a quick witted vaudevillian and one who will keep you laughing during his entire presentation. The Howe Sound Arts Association is hoping many residents will take in this evening of fun and frivolity.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and students and are available at Highland Video, Mostly Books and Billie's Bouquet.
The new children's multi-lingual book collection with preschool stories in Punjabi, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Italian will be introduced on Sunday (Feb. 15) at the 撸奶社区Public Library. Stories will be read in many of these languages from 1 to 3 p.m. accompanied by background ethnic music and snacks.
A Valentine's Dance sponsored by the Cedar Valley School will be held at Totem Hall on Saturday (Feb. 14) from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The evening will include food, prizes, games, Tunnel of Love, live auction and dancing.
Tickets at $25 are available at Eagle Run Coffee Company and Nothing Finer. Grad 2004 will be providing safe rides.
You and your neighbours and friends are invited to a Valentine's Day lunch and bake sale at St. John's Anglican Church on Diamond Head Road (behind the Sea to Sky Hotel) tomorrow (Feb.14) from noon to 2 p.m. The Anglican Church Women are sponsoring this event.
Skaters are reminded of the Valentine two-for-one sweetheart skate tomorrow (Feb. 14) from 12:40 to 2:10 p.m.
On Friday, Feb.20 there is a Glow in the Dark skate for families from 7:25 to 8:25 p.m. Glow necklaces are for sale at $3 each. An everyone-welcome skate is from 8:40 to 9:40 p.m.

Between Shifts Theatre is in the midst of rehearsals for their upcoming production of The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds for presentation in April.
The next step is finding a place to build the sets and finding people who would be willing to help in painting and set decorating.

There is an author reading at 撸奶社区public Library on Thursday (Feb. 19) from 7p.m. to 8p.m. when Wim Tewinkel will read and discuss his book Salish Elders.
This coming week (Feb. 15 to 21) is Heritage week at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park. The highlights of the week will be the opening of the upstairs floor of the Brightbill Heritage House and the annual Heritage Tea on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The ladies will be dressed in costumes of the era for the tea and to reserve your time, please call 604-898-9336. The cost of the tea is just $5 and includes dainty tea sandwiches and dessert.
The inaugural production of the 撸奶社区Youth Theatre will take place from Mar. 24 to 27. There are approximately 40 children and 10 adults in the five plays but many helpers are needed to make sure the play hits the stage.
