It's a little belated, but I would like to congratulate the parents of the first baby delivered at 撸奶社区General Hospital in Jan. 1. Gurbax and Sangha Badyal were thrilled with the arrival of their son Garet as was his four-year-old sister Simi. The family received many lovely gifts.

The first winner in the Squamish/Whistler Crime Stoppers fundraiser was announced last week. Pet owners were invited to fill in an application form (available at local veterinary offices and pet food stores) and with a $5 donation to Crime Stoppers and a picture of their pet; they were eligible for a monthly draw of a professional pet photo courtesy of Burneing Images.

Congratulations to the Romano family and their Golden Retriever Sadie, who will have that photo of Sadie taken by herself or with her family. As a thank-you to all those who entered the January draw, their entries will be extended to the February draw. Crime Stoppers does make a difference in our community and your support is welcome.

There is still room for more participants in the Family Storytime at the 撸奶社区Public Library. It is held every Wednesday from 7 to 7:30 p.m. and kids are invited to wear their pajamas.
