Plan on being at Brennan Park tomorrow (Aug. 28) and Sunday (Aug. 29) for the North American Whippet Racing Association (NAWRA) and the National Oval Track Racing Association (NOTRA) competitions starting at 8:30 a.m. on both days. These events are free to the public, but you are asked to leave your dogs at home.
Eric Andersen presents slides on early landscape painters who visited the 撸奶社区area, from 1888 to 1920s. The UpStares Gallery on the corner of Cleveland and Victoria hosts the presentation at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 2). Admission is by donation with proceeds going toward high quality prints of early paintings of 撸奶社区and Northern Howe Sound for permanent local display.
Last week a Peakpotentials training camp was held in 撸奶社区with over 327 participants from all over Canada and the United States. The camp was called Mind of Steel and Heart of Gold and it was all about doing random acts of kindness. Were you like me who received lots of hugs? They said it was wonderful offering their hearts to a community who had opened their arms to them.

The Gift Shop at the 撸奶社区Hospital is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is run by members of the Women's Auxiliary to the Hospital. There are a number of new items in the shop including many items for babies and toddlers, and also cotton nightgowns, knitted slippers and colourful pashmina scarves for women. There is a good selection of ornaments, wind chimes and cards for all occasions. Did you know, there is no HST tax on items in the shop?

Project Love is much appreciative of the support given by the community towards donations for backpacks for boys and girls filled with school supplies, as well as purchasing clothes and shoes at a cost of $75.
