Tsawaysia Spukwus, whose common English name is Alice Guss, is gearing up to pass on her traditions.聽
The 撸奶社区Nation member is hosting three workshops in the month of September.聽 They all take place on Saturday, Sept. 27. The first one, running from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. focuses on wool weaving and basket making. Participants will make their own headbands or try their hand at weaving with cedar bark. The course costs $25.聽
The second class runs from noon until 2 p.m. It revolves around creating your own personal drum. Participants can decide between making a 14 inch or three inch drum. The workshop costs $150.聽
The last class run from 2 to 4 p.m. Participants will create earrings. The workshop costs $15.聽
All the workshops will be held at 37660 Tekaya Drive behind Totem Hall.聽
