Here’s an upcoming community event that will make you feel a hint of spring.
The event Seedy Saturday is happening just around the corner on Saturday, March 2, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Brennan Park Recreation Centre.
The event is hosted by the 撸奶社区Climate Action Network (CAN).
It is a “free community event about seeds, seed saving and gardening best practices,” reads a 撸奶社区CAN news release.
Additionally, David Catzel, B.C. seed security program manager at FarmFolk CityFolk, will host a free seed-saving workshop at 10 a.m.
“Stop by to meet relevant local organizations, ask your questions to a master gardener, bring seeds to swap, join the seed library, purchase interesting seeds grown locally and more.”
There will be activities for kids along with some snacks and beverages. 撸奶社区CAN asks folks to bring a reusable mug to help keep the event low waste.
