You could hear and see the ocean at Valleycliffe Elementary on Thursday, Feb. 22, as Ocean Wise was on hand at the school.
Ocean Wise is a not-for-profit ocean conservation organization.
Its four-person mobile education team is currently in town for a two-day mini-tour of Squamish.
They head to Brackendale Elementary on Friday, Feb. 23.
The educators talked to the students about all things marine and ocean, including climate change, ocean conservation, and how youth can make a difference in protecting the ocean.
The students in Valleycliffe Thursday were very engaged with the educators, asking lots of questions.
The was a highlight of the experience.
The Sea Dome is an immersive, pop-up ocean adventure that shows 360-degree footage, making viewers feel like they are underwater.
The education team tours around the province, and beyond.
