Sea to Sky Newcomer Services has started a newsletter to help employers connect with new immigrants.

The newsletter, called , hopes to help local employers learn from each other and new immigrants to create a positive working environment.

Funding for the newsletter comes from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and BC Settlement and Integration Services (BCSIS).

It is delivered by Capilano University and other newcomer services in the area.

“Thanks to this additional funding we are now able to support both the many anticipated and existing foreign workers more directly and can provide information, resources and a forum for employers as they build effective diverse workplaces,” said Andrea Dunne, the program manager for WelcomeNet Newcomer Services, in a news release.

Dunne also said they had good conversations with local employers and look forward to building a positive group to help the diverse workforce grow.

Employers can sign up for the newsletter that has information, resources and connections to support businesses that employ immigrants and newcomers in the area.
