St. John's Anglican Church at 1930 Diamond Rd. is hosting its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday (Nov. 17) from 10 a.m. to noon. The home baking tables will be laden with a variety of Christmas baking, breads, preserves and more. Gift giving items will be displayed on the sewing tables and there will also be an in house raffle. Plan to visit the Tea Room where scones, muffins and tea or coffee will be offered.
It is Scrabble Night at the 撸奶社区Public Library on Tuesday (Nov. 20) from 6:30 to 8 p.m. This is the ninth annual Scrabble Tournament and is part of the festivities celebrating Family Literacy Week, which runs Jan. 21 to 27, 2013. Play individually or get together a team of two to four players.
The 撸奶社区Public Library will welcome author Lisa Baile to the library on Thursday (Nov. 22) from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for the launch of her new book John Clarke: Explorer of the Coast Mountains. Lisa Baile is a medical researcher who is an active member of the B.C. Mountaineering Club and the Alpine Club of Canada.

Soup and Sandwich at the Seniors Centre is now going to be a Theme Lunch. Last month it was an Oktoberfest feast and for this month it will be comfort food with a chicken pot pie and all the trimmings on the menu for $9.
