This month, Squamish鈥檚 casino lay a sure bet on boosting children鈥檚 happiness.聽
Chances 撸奶社区Gateway Casino handed the Easter Seals Camp 撸奶社区$1,417. The money went into a campaign 鈥� Brenden鈥檚 Ride for Easter Seals 鈥� that has raised more than $13,000 to help send children from the Sea to Sky Corridor to the local camp that sees hundreds of children with disabilities every summer.聽
Held on Sept. 13, Brenden鈥檚 Ride for Easter Seals was a motorcycle ride from Cloverdale to the 撸奶社区camp. For the past seven summers Brenden Parker has spent a week at the Easter Seals Camp 撸奶社区鈥� one of his favourite places.聽
鈥淚t means a lot,鈥� Parker stated in a press release in regards to the camp. 鈥淚t鈥檚 six days of so much fun. The staff and campers are so nice, everyone is active and doing things the whole time.鈥澛�
Parker鈥檚 favourite activities include the camp鈥檚 low rope course, a giant swing that sends campers鈥� soaring into the air and swimming in the camp鈥檚 pool. He said he loves being able to take his wheelchair up the ramps to the fully-accessible tree-house.聽
While Parker鈥檚 at camp, his father Baron said he can enjoy a bit of respite from the constant care that Parker requires.聽
Chances 撸奶社区Gateway Casino was excited to do its part, the casino鈥檚 senior shift and marketing manager Carl Severson said.聽
鈥淏renden believes that every child with a disability should get the opportunity to attend an Easter Seals Camp and so does Chances 撸奶社区Gateway Casino.鈥�
