Car crashes are the number one cause of death and serious injury among young drivers aged 16 to 20 in B.C. Teenagers represent only 6.5 per cent of the driving population but accounts for 13.4 per cent of those involved in car crashes. Research indicates that car crashes involving young drivers can be reduced by up to a third when parents are actively involved in their teenager's driving education. The BCAA Traffic Safety Foundation's In the Driver's Seat workshops for parents, grandparents and caregivers of teen drivers, held at high schools and workplaces around the province, are designed to help families understand the risks and manage the process of their teenager's driving education. The 撸奶社区Gardeners are pleased to have award-winning, best selling author and garden columnist, Steve Whysall coming to 撸奶社区for his second visit on Monday (April 12) at 7 p.m. The location is the multipurpose room of the Quest University library. Whysall regularly gives talks to garden clubs and at garden shows and he has written articles for Gardens West and Garden Wise magazines as well as other books.
