Obituary: Terry-Rae Diane Aldridge

Nov. 6, 1940, to Oct. 14, 2022; Terry moved to Vancouver in 1957 before locating to Squamish, where Terry and Terry met and were married in 1963. They built their home in Brackendale.

Terry, our loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her husband of 59 years, the love of her life, Terry, her children, Dean (Lauren), Leslie (Lee), Jay (Marsha), her sister Bonnie (Trevor).  

Terry leaves behind many loving family members, including her brother Scott (Judy), nephews Myles (Kimmy), Josh, nieces Erin (Andrew), Jenna, great- nephew Easton and great-nieces Avery and Aurora. Her grandchildren, Dale (Shanna), Evan, Logan (Andrea), Barry (Bree), Bradley (Emma), Tamara (Kevin), Kierra (Neil), Carys (Iain), Brynna (Jessy) and 16 great-grandchildren.

Terry was born in Saskatoon to her father, Augustave Legare and her mother, Mary (Norma) Legare (Lewis).

Terry moved to Vancouver in 1957 before locating to Squamish, where Terry and Terry met and were married in 1963. They built their home in Brackendale, where they continued to reside.

Terry enjoyed gardening, which was evidenced by her beautiful flowers and garden. She loved Christmas and camping/travelling in their RV, "The Terry's Resort."

She was passionate about preparing and sharing meals with family and friends alike and always had an extra plate at the table for whoever was around.

She loved to shop and travel to warm destinations. She spent many years quilting and crafting and was a Girl Guide leader and Commissioner.

Prior to her death, Terry travelled to Lumby, where she shared stories, smiles, and laughter and enjoyed time with her family.

The family wishes to thank the amazing healthcare providers who took such good care of her throughout her lifetime and in her final years. Dr. Richard Cudmore, her doctor of over 40 years, provided care, support and friendship as the years passed.

Most recently, the home care nurses and palliative/hospice care team and the staff at 撸奶社区General Hospital.

The family wishes to thank her sister, Bonnie, for all her love and support.

Terry will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
