Scott 'Tod' Barden.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Scott "Tod" Barden on March 28th, 2023, at the age of 41, in Squamish, BC.

He was born in 撸奶社区to his parents, Sue and Jim Barden, and was the brother of Jesse Barden.

He is survived by his love of 18 years, Lisa Alberto, and their beloved children, Kaylee and Echo.

Tod was a 撸奶社区local, born and raised in the community growing up at Fergie's and then Brackendale.

He spent his youth as a hockey and lacrosse player. He loved spending time outdoors, whether it was taking his dog Aussie, for long walks, fishing in the river or boating in the Howe Sound.

Tod was an incredibly gifted craftsman with a talent for building and fixing just about anything. His passion was building boats, and he loved to challenge himself by learning new skills and taking on challenging projects.

Tod had a varied career, starting with Heli Logging and later attending BCIT and then becoming a sheet metal journeyman and salesman, before settling into a career as a Longshoreman.

He worked hard to provide for his family and had a strong work ethic.

Above all, Tod was a kind teddy bear of a man, always willing to lend a hand to friends and neighbours.

His family was his world, and he was a devoted and loving partner, father, son and brother.

He leaves a void that can never be filled, but we take comfort in the knowledge we were cherished by him. His legacy lives on inside each of us as we carry him with us always.

Family, friends and coworkers, please join the celebration of life to be held June 10th at 2 p.m. at the Cork and Craft, Squamish.
