Nov. 25, 1039 to Oct. 15, 2023
With our hearts filled with sorrow, we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Nanny, and matriarch of our family.
Jean passed away peacefully at home surrounded by those she loved.
Jean worked for years as a nurse/receptionist at The Diamond Head Clinic and made many lasting friendships there.
She loved tennis, gardening, swimming in the warm waters of Barbados, her rescue dogs, flying kites with the grandkids, and any reason to have a family get-together. She was the glue in our family.
Her soups and curries were legendary.
We will miss her laughter and her wonderful sense of humour.
The Rolling stream of life rolls on,
But still the vacant chair,
Recalls the love, the voice the smile
Of the one who once sat there.
Jean leaves behind her son, John Cameron (Callum, Kisten, and Ashley.) Daughters: Heather (Grant) Douglas (Coral, Alec and Nikki,) Jackie (Mike) Schultheiss (Jennifer and Scott), and Moira (Ryan) Donnahee (Meghan, Blaire and Charlotte.) Her sister, Moria Croy, and brother Hamish (Vivian) Croy.
She loved all 10 of her grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
There always was a little card and birthday or Christmas gift from Nanny.
She is also lovingly remembered by many family and friends far and wide.
The family would like to thank mom's "second" family at the 撸奶社区dialysis unit.
Her nephrologist, Dr. Myriam Farah, and her family, G.P. Dr. Alison Leighton.
Our family was truly blessed to have such an amazing, strong, supportive mom. She made us, and this world, a better place.
Rest in peace; I carry you with me always.
