It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, great-uncle and mentor.
He is predeceased by his parents, Louise and Ted Tribe and two brothers, Tom & Norman.
He is mourned by his loving wife of 49 years, Christine (nee Dunn), sons Ted and Barry (Janine), Grandson Robert (Kim), Great Grandson Blake, Granddaughter Ruth, "Adopted" daughter Judi and many nieces & nephews.
Harold, better known by all as "Hal," had an incredible lust for travel and exploring the globe.
He and Christine visited 70+ countries experiencing each the way the locals lived.
This was a true passion of his. Hal was a "figurer" (problem solver) at heart; he could design, build, fix or craft just about anything, except his car.
Hal designed and built custom homes in his own business for 30+ years.
Hal even built a 68' sailboat in his spare time that he and Christine lived aboard for 17 years in North Vancouver.
At the young age of 70, he sold the sailboat and designed and built their custom home of 25 years in Squamish.
Hal had the warmest and biggest heart; he could see ways to help people that would change their lives forever; he just cared about people and how he could help each person.
Hal has donated many years to helping his community by doing great work with the Red Cross and many other volunteer organizations.
Hal will be greatly missed by his families, biological, extended and adopted; we will meet up again in another life. We all love you very much.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Hal's memory can be given to Hilltop House in Squamish, B.C.
A celebration of Life to honour him will take place at
St. John The Divine Anglican Church, 1930 Diamond Rd. on Oct. 5, 2022, @ 3:30 PM.
