A new craft market is coming to downtown 撸奶社区on Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to a news release, the market, , is hosted by a new non-profit called Neighbourhood Society, which aims to highlight west coast art, food and craft.
The event will take place at 38174 Cleveland Avenue across from the Husky gas station and has free admission.
“We have selected a talented group of artists, makers and growers who live in 撸奶社区and our surrounding communities,” said Laura Di Cecco, a founding director of the society.
“More importantly, we have invited artists and creatives who have had less representation and so we look forward to introducing new faces and to bringing that diversity to our community.”
Among the participating vendors include , 撸奶社区youth-owned Therefore I Thrift, and several BIPOC artists and BIPOC-owned small businesses.
Newcomers to the market scene, like , , and Hothams, will also be highlighted, the release states.
Visitors can expect to find a variety of art, crafts, food, jewelry and home goods.
“We’re offering a free event that is open to everyone, that adds more vibrancy to our Downtown core, and that will help to create new opportunities for youth, emerging artists and creators of all kinds,” said Rachel Boguski, a founding director of the society.
