Neighbourhood Craft returns to downtown Squamish

The free outdoor market is back with over 30 vendors on May 13.

Neighbourhood Craft is returning to downtown ߣÄÌÉçÇøin a couple of weeks.

The outdoor market will be back at the public lot across the street from the Otter Co-op downtown on May 13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

According to Laura Di Cecco, one of the 's founding directors, the market has free admission and will showcase over 30 artists, makers and growers from ߣÄÌÉçÇøand the surrounding area.

“Neighbourhood is very much about recognizing the range of creativity that exists locally, and we are excited to bring that diversity to Squamish,” she said in a news release.

The ߣÄÌÉçÇønon-profit Neighbourhood Society hosts the Neighbourhood Craft event, which partially aims to transform public spaces through arts and culture experiences. At the market, there will be a variety of arts, ceramics, jewelry, vintage and home goods to browse.

“We hope that by offering a free event in the heart of our downtown core, we will encourage the community to connect and engage with art and objects, and the people behind them,” said Rachel Boguski, a founding director of the society.
