A group of students at Howe Sound Secondary School (HSSS) are hosting an evening of incredible food, a silent auction, live entertainment and a presentation aimed at drumming up awareness and support for the ߣÄÌÉçÇøRotary's East Africa Water Project.
The event, planned next Friday (Feb. 24) at 5:30 p.m. in the school's multipurpose room, is being hosted by the HSSS Interact Club, which is sponsored by ߣÄÌÉçÇøRotary.
Attendees will enjoy a three-course meal specially prepared by participants in the HSSS chef training program, live entertainment, a silent auction with valuable items up for grabs, and a presentation about the Water Project.
The project "provides East African communities with local fresh water, where none exists currently, saving residents hours of travel for water," Interact Club members said in a statement. All proceeds from the evening will go toward the project, students said.
Tickets are $20 per person and are available at the HSSS office and Greg Gardner GM.
