The owners of a local hair salon is inviting local residents to come and learn how to French braid others' hair while raising money to send youngsters to summer camp.
The event, planned on Saturday, March 8, at Emily's Hair Designs, 101-1310 Victoria Street in downtown Squamish, is a chance for those interested in learning the art of French braiding to support a good cause, organizers said in a statement.
Those taking part in the workshop may do so for a minimum donation of $15, with all proceeds going to help YoungLife kids' programs and send junior and senior high school-aged people to Christian-based camp.
Separate sessions are planned on March 8 at 9 and 11 a.m. Participants should bring a model with long hair and a brush. Space is limited, and sessions may be booked online at www.emilyshairdesigns.com or by calling (604) 849-2665.
