撸奶社区women will have another chance to take to the skies with Glacier Air at the annual Women of Aviation Worldwide (WOAW) Week.
Any female over the age of 14 will get the chance to fly the friendly skies firsthand during the company's second annual Experience the Joy of Flight event on March 9 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
This is the second time that Glacier Air will participate in the weeklong celebration, which began in 2011 to mark the 100th anniversary of the first issuance of the world's first pilot's licence to a woman.
Last year's debut event was plagued by poor weather but four women were able to get their first taste of the cockpit.
"We were able to get four ladies up when we had an hour break in the weather," said Lauren Joy Patar from Glacier Air. "We hope for better skies on March 9, if not March 10 is the backup date fingers crossed."
Last year's WOAW week was celebrated in 36 countries and this year's theme is "Women and Space," celebrating the 50th anniversary of cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova's first trip into space in 1963.
Those interested in experiencing the air up there can do so by calling Glacier Air at 1-800-265-0088 or emailing [email protected] to reserve a spot.
