You have a choice of seven 20-hour camps with the first one next week (July 5 to 9). The acoustic BAG jam is a monthly occurrence at the Brackendale Art Gallery and the next get-together will be Sunday (July 4) from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Organizer Rita Kyle said there is a core group of about a dozen musicians who take part but there is always room for more participation. The Summer Reading Club at the 撸奶社区Public Librayr is pleased to welcome back Kayla Avey of 撸奶社区who will oversee the program during July and August. She will be ably assisted by Quest University student Celeta Cook and Samantha Brennan, a recent graduate from the UBC Okanagan campus. This year's theme is "Reading Rocks!" for boys and girls ages six to 12 years and it starts on Tuesday, July 13. Each participant will receive a reading record to keep track of their summer reading and they will also be eligible for weekly prizes.
