This year, the Downtown 撸奶社区Business Improvement Association is launching its annual Passport to Shop and Win campaign. The event runs for seven weeks, between Nov. 2 and Dec. 19. Participants are handed a passport from downtown businesses and collect stamps whenever they make purchases. Once the card is full, the participant will be entered into a draw to win prizes.聽

鈥淚t is going to be bigger than ever,鈥 the BIA鈥檚 Bianca Peters said.聽

The BIA is aiming to spread its wings beyond its traditional roots on Cleveland Avenue. This year, Save-On-Foods and Nesters Market are participating in the campaign, she noted. The overall aim is to encourage growth and popularity in Squamish鈥檚 heart, Peters noted. The organization鈥檚 mandate is to stimulate and promote the downtown neighbourhood as a vibrant hub of the community. Working together, the enrolled businesses seek to establish downtown as a unique destination and source of local pride.聽

鈥淲e don鈥檛 want to limit ourselves to Cleveland,鈥 Peters said.聽

Every Friday during the Passport to Shop campaign, a winner will be drawn and receive $100 to spend at participating shops. Completed passports can also be dropped off at participating shops. The overall winner will receive $1,000 to spend downtown. The runner up will go home with $500 to shop downtown and the third place prize is $250.聽
