Happy Saturday, Whistler! Here's how things are looking out there so far.

Today's calls for flurries or rain showers with a high of about 3 C in Whistler. A low of -2 C is expected overnight, with snow. Looking to tomorrow, the forecast calls for a chance of flurries, with a high of about 2 C. 

On the mountain, Whistler Blackcomb is forecasting cloudy skies with scattered flurries, a high of -3 and a low of -5, and moderate winds. The freezing level sits at 1,400 metres. The mountain operator is reporting 40 cm of fresh snow in the past 12 hours, and a base depth of about 133 cm.

WB is reporting 30 groomed runs and 370 acres on Whistler, and 21 groomed runs and 171 acres on Blackcomb.

Alpine surface conditions are listed as soft packed, and mid-mountain surface conditions are listed as variable.

"A Pacific disturbance is expected to continue bringing periods of snow to the mountains that ease into flurries and continue on and off today. Sunny periods are then very slowly appearing on Sunday and Monday before a trailing ridge of high pressure establishes itself and provides plenty of alpine sunshine from Tuesday on through the rest of next week," the mountain operator said .

The avalanche danger rating in the Sea to Sky is currently considerable to high, .

"Stormy conditions continue, which are elevating avalanche danger. Avoid avalanche terrain during periods of heavy loading from snow, rain, or strong winds," the forecaster said on its website.
