Calling all comic book fans and collectors!
A free two-day festival for all things comics is happening in Vancouver next week.
The – one of the largest comic book festivals in Canada, will pop up in Yaletown over Victoria Day long weekend, on May 20 and May 21, featuring an array of books, from graphic novels to manga, and hundreds of creators.
This year, a number of guest authors, including Work-Life Balance author Aisha Franz, Meredith Gran of Octopus Pie, along with well-known authors Jeff Lemirei and Dan Santat, will participate in talks, workshops, and book signings throughout both days of the festival.
A special pre-festival book launch and discussion will take place May 19 with B.C. author and illustrator Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas in support of his new book JAJ: A Haida Manga.
