REGINA 鈥� Some of Saskatchewan's most vulnerable children can begin getting vaccinated today against COVID-19.聽
Saskatchewan is rolling out Moderna's Spikevax vaccine for children ages six months to five years at various clinics across the province.
The government says it has received 13,000 doses.
Priority is being given to parents of immunocompromised children along with other kids in the same household who are eligible.
Appointments for those children opened Thursday and for all other young children they open today.聽
Last week, Health Canada authorized the use of Spikevax for children, making it the first authorized vaccine for the age group.
